James Breese: [00:00:00] Strength Matters Media. Video. Print. Podcasts.
Josh Kennedy: Today's podcast is all about lead magnets and even Arnold Schwarzenegger is doing lead magnets in 2024. So if Arnie's doing it, we should all be doing it right. We've spoken about lead magnets before, but, um, you shared this yesterday with us in our Slack group, James.
Arnie's doing a lead magnet and you just downloaded it. Uh,
James Breese: how is it? It's great. Like what, uh, who doesn't want to be talking about Arnold Schwarzenegger? Come on for everyone out there. Who grew up in the eighties and nineties were like Arnold, like an icon from all the movies, you know, you know, post bodybuilding career and everything.
I just remember watching going to my Elliot's house and watching Terminator and watching all the classics, you know, commando, what else, what else we do here? Junior that was done at 1. 2. So there were lots of things done. So, so yeah, it's a good old Arnie. So Predator, that's the one. Yeah. I remember going to [00:01:00] Elliot's house.
Yeah. Mom didn't like that. I was watching Predator at the time. I definitely remember that. Yeah.
Josh Kennedy: No, I remember being terrified the first time I watched predators.
James Breese: It's crazy, but who doesn't, but who doesn't like talking about Arnold Schwarzenegger? What a legend he is. But so yeah, so on Instagrams yesterday, I was like looking around as you normally do post a video, then this come up.
So let me just share my screen with you guys so you can see this. Um, hopefully my computer will last. Is
Josh Kennedy: Arnold's workout guide 2024. Workouts you can do anywhere. If you, James, I'll share a screen. There
James Breese: we go. The 2024 get back in shape plan, the official guide to workouts you can do anywhere. So look at this.
It's a simple one page picture of Arnie behind some little bit of text. I think he can, he can make it look even better, but that's all he's done. And email, he's probably got millions of email addresses.
Josh Kennedy: Absolutely. He's just captured some leads with that, hasn't he? [00:02:00] He has, he has.
James Breese: Unbelievable. But then it leads to this workout book.
So picture of Arnie and his prime. pecs get back in shape workouts for everyone. You can do anywhere. Powered by Arnold's pump club. That's what he's trying to sell. Now. Do you see that? His app, right? Okay. He's got this fitness app. Is it
Josh Kennedy: an app? Is it? I've not, I've not heard of that. It's an app, right?
James Breese: That's what I believe it is. I haven't had the big dive into it yet, but. This is the, this is if I scroll down the page as fast as I can, you guys can see all this. Look how many workouts are here, alright? How many workouts will people do? Probably none at all. But the point is, he's giving people the option to do it, and he's giving them an idea of what they can do.
It's very simple, very neatly designed. Bear crawls, body weight, step ups, pushups. I'm sure he didn't do that, but people can do them anywhere. So he's going off to the mass market in these terms of workouts and who wouldn't buy something from Arnold Schwarzenegger, who's one of those famous bodybuilders in the world.
So that's it. What a great strategy. [00:03:00]
Josh Kennedy: Exactly. So what, what is the, what is the lesson then from this? I know it's probably fairly simple lesson, but
James Breese: the lesson is no matter what you're doing, no matter how big your audience is on social media, like he's got millions, What is he doing is driving them to get a conversion in terms of a lead and then nurture them via lead because he knows, or the marketing team who's working for him knows that the highest value is when you get someone's email address, because you can then sell them onto other products.
And exactly, that's
Josh Kennedy: what he's doing. That's the number one thing, right? That he's doing. He is number one, he is capturing email addresses and we've spoken about this on many a podcast before. And it's, that's the, the. The first thing you want to do, right? Create a free lead magnet and get email addresses.
James Breese: So what's he got on? What's he got on Instagram? Let me have a look now. Let me go live. I mean, how many followers has he got? Millions, right?
Josh Kennedy: He's probably got
James Breese: millions. So Arnold Schwarzenegger. Here we go. Schwarzenegger.
Josh Kennedy: He's also going to [00:04:00] catch my email address because I'm going to download it because I'm interested to look at it.
James Breese: 26. 3 million people follow him. So do the math on that. Even if just 1 percent of people opt in, that is a massive email list to start working with. Let's just say 10 percent do, right? Let's say 10%, million emails. Let's just say 1 percent then, you know, buy stuff. That's 260, 000 people purchasing it. So it's, it's incredible.
That's, that's the power of a combination of social media reach, Plus email address, driving to a specific product to solve a solution. So that's incredible amounts of money potentially he's earning from this app, which may not even be done by him. Dare I say it, he's just giving it the seal of approval.
He's
Josh Kennedy: got, I would imagine he's got a team doing it for him.
Andrew Wallis: Probably. He will, uh, but there's a lot, there's a lot that we can obviously learn from it, as you say, that with that, as Josh says, that he's got [00:05:00] a plan. He's got a strategy. It's taking. Uh, that audience from social media that he cannot connect with outside of that particular platform, getting them to his home, his email list, uh, giving them the lead magnet following up with some, actually I'm on the list and they are, they are good, uh, emails that are going out, but then as you say, um, Um, that's driving towards that app.
Don't know how much the app is that you have to pay per month, but yeah, if you've got 1 percent of that list, um, buying that on a regular basis, he's, he's generated a nice new, uh, flow of income for, for him in his business.
Josh Kennedy: Yeah, he's doing all right, hasn't he? And it doesn't need to be complicated either.
We've, Andrew, we've spoken about lead magnets while James is looking up his, his app, you know, a simple workout plan, a simple nutrition guide, meal plan, something like that, right?
Andrew Wallis: Yep. Yeah. Um, [00:06:00] all the listeners, you know, your audience and what, what they're looking for, uh, if you can then deliver that cheat sheet, that, that workout plan, that, that meal plan, um, as an initial entry point for them.
That's of enough value for them to want to, uh, give you their name and email address in exchange for that, then that's great. And then the key then is the followup. Don't just let it go crickets and don't, uh, communicate with your list. Um, we've, we've discussed this on, on other ones as well. Um, guys where weekly email newsletters or, or, um, emails of on topics, which you're going to re resonate with your audience are key, but, um, yeah, this is the way to play it.
James Breese: Well, I've just downloaded it now. Yeah. I've downloaded it now. It's called the pump. So I'll pump club. So it's downloaded the pump. I'm assuming that's the one. So I got to create an account first. To get into it, but it says in app [00:07:00] purchases. So download the app, probably a free few, a few free workouts. And then if you want to get more, you can pay for it.
So again, lead magnet into specific, simple, low ticket offer product that you never know, he could start selling personal training again for millions of dollars a session. Think about that. Can you imagine that?
Josh Kennedy: Can you imagine Arnie? Arnie is
James Breese: like training. Exactly. Arnie becomes your trainer in the gym here in Cardiff.
Can you imagine it? That'd be absolutely amazing.
Andrew Wallis: I'll be doing the, uh, predator workout. It'll be, it'll be the get to the chopper. And that would, there'll be the, the shuttle sprint.
Josh Kennedy: Yeah. If he's not, if he hasn't got the predator workout in pump or, you know, commando workout, whatever, then he's missing a trick there, isn't he?
God, Dave,
James Breese: he's so good. Wouldn't it? Like the commando workout. Cut. Oh. I'd love it. I absolutely love it. So anyway, Arnie's doing lead magnets guys. If Arnie's doing it, you guys sure as hell should be doing it too.
Josh Kennedy: Exactly. That is the lesson for today. And that is it. Please don't forget to rate, review and subscribe.[00:08:00]
